Find something you love to do, and you’ll never work a day in your life.
Harvey MacKay
That was always the goal growing up. I remember hearing my parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles talking about this idea from a very young age. Then as you get older, you are then told you have to work hard for everything you get. You get your first job then “adulting” starts happening. The sight of the “something you love to do” fades into the background; replaced by a harsh thing called reality.
In my story, things made a significant change in the most peculiar way. I was working as a front office assistant at a small insurance company. In 2014 the ACA laws passed and I was tasked with learning the new system. From there I dove into learning all the ins and outs. My knowledge of ACA products expanded into running RX comparisons for insurance agents all over the state. Then it occurred to me; I LOVE doing this!
So, in 2015 I took my insurance license and starting helping people understand their existing insurance and other insurances available. I take a different view on insurance and planning. I ask the hard questions and help guide my clients to what products will work for them and their situations now and for years to come.
